Keep your camera as simple as possible. Find the simplest settings and stick with them until you master them. Then move on and try adjusting different settings. This is an efficient way of learning, whilst fully focusing on achieving great shots. It eliminates the overwhelming feeling, apertures and shutter-speeds sometimes have.

You'll be able to control certain basics, without letting other basics control you, and therefore be able to leave that big manual in the bag, where it belongs!

Pack the camera away leaving the settings at your favorite position, so you will be able to quickly grab the camera when a great photographic opportunity arises!
